Fair Fight PAC Statement on Senate Victories

  • January 8, 2021

ATLANTA – Today, Fair Fight PAC issued a statement in response to this week’s dual victories in Georgia’s U.S. Senate races and filed its year-end state report. Fair Fight Senior Advisor Lauren Groh-Wargo issued the following statement:

“Throughout our state and across the country, hundreds of thousands of Americans from all walks of life believed that once-red Georgia could deliver a Democratic majority in the United State Senate. The victories of Senators-elect Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock would not have been possible without the strong investment of grassroots donors, Labor organizations, and national partners, along with the determination of allied organizations, activists, and volunteers. Fair Fight is proud to have played a key role in sending two champions of democracy to the United States Senate who will fight for voting rights, Covid relief, jobs, health care access, and racial justice. In particular, we are proud to have funded Georgia-based organizations that played an indispensable role in mobilizing a multi-racial, multi-ethnic, and multi-generational electorate. Following an arduous decade-long team effort, Georgians have made undeniably clear that we are a blue state, and voters – particularly Black voters and voters of color writ large – will not be silenced.”

Fair Fight PAC filed its year-end state report with the Georgia Government Transparency and Campaign Finance Commission showing $61.9 million in receipts from October 26 to December 31, 2020. The PAC had 550,000 donors during the filing period with an average contribution of $78. More than 460,000 of the 550,000 donors in the 66-day period had not previously contributed to Fair Fight PAC. To date, Fair Fight PAC has raised $95.4 million from over 680,000 donors. Contributions were received from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Americans abroad, and Americans living at military bases around the world. Moreover, Georgians from 141 counties invested in Fair Fight’s efforts.

Thanks to such overwhelming support, Fair Fight PAC was able to invest more than $20 million in numerous Georgia-based and Georgia-focused grassroots efforts, including: Albany Voter’s Coalition, Asian American Advocacy Fund PAC, Black PAC, Black Voters Matter Fund, Collective Future, Democratic Party of DeKalb County, GALEO Latino Community Development Fund, Georgia Coalition for the People’s Agenda, Georgia Latino Alliance for Human Rights, Georgia NAACP, Mijente PAC, Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America, New South super PAC, Nigerian-American Public Affairs Committee, People Organizing to Demand Environmental and Economic Justice (Votar ES PODER), ProGeorgia State Table Inc, PROOF LLC, Senate Majority PAC, Southerners on New Ground, UNITE HERE – Take Back 2020, Voto Latino Action Fund, and Women on the Rise.

Fair Fight PAC, via GAsenate.com, also raised over $12 million each in direct contributions for Jon Ossoff and Reverend Raphael Warnock from nearly 300,000 contributions for each candidate.
