ATLANTA — Today, Fair Fight Senior Advisor Lauren Groh-Wargo issued the following statement:
“We are overwhelmed by the the support of Americans in every state, DC, Puerto Rico, and every territory who are fighting with us for free and fair elections. Financial resources are critical to our continued efforts to protect the vote and to make sure all eligible voters in Georgia and around the country have access to the ballot, including the option of safely voting by mail. The COVID-19 pandemic has changed and redoubled the nature of our advocacy, and it has changed the nature of our finance efforts. Whenever possible, we are opening virtual fundraising events to include supporters facing hardships and limiting required contributions to zero or close to zero. Whether it is by making a contribution or by signing up to volunteer remotely at fairfight2020.org, we are grateful for each and every supporter during this challenging time.”
Fair Fight reported raising $2.7 million in the first three months of 2020 and having $11.4 million on hand.
