Fulton County is facing a coordinated campaign to revive false claims about the 2020 election and use them to gain greater control over the county’s elections. These claims have been repeatedly investigated, audited, and rejected, including by Republican officials, and no widespread fraud was found. They are being revived now in an attempt to justify new controls over how the county runs its elections.
Records and results from 2020 have been reviewed again and again. Repeating a claim does not make it true. The goal now is to manufacture a reason to change the rules before the midterm election.
More control over Fulton's elections could mean more challenges to voter eligibility, more strain on poll workers, longer lines, and slower results. The threat is real even where the effects have not landed yet.
Fulton is Georgia's largest county and home to the state's largest Black community. Every ballot cast in Fulton stands on progress that generations of Georgians fought to win – that’s our legacy. When we turn out, Georgia moves forward.
Voters here have built deep civic strength: neighbors who register, organize, turn out, and look out for one another. That tradition is Fulton's foundation.
It’s also why Fulton draws pressure.
It’s proof that our votes carry real weight.
